West-facing window in early morning light. No interior light used.
Ceiling is crypt vault with extremely dark walnut wood imitating stonework. Pews, etc. of similar wood.
What do do in such a dark church?

Beautiful scene and photo. I like the light and darkness in the composition.
 
I love the feel of carpenter gothic woodwork. It draws me to shoot old churches like this. You got the light thru the window nicely & the light on the pews shows well.
 
What they said but personally I can't deal with the total out of focus aspect. For me this needs to be sharp.
 
During a 30 second exposure you could have let off several flashes pointed down to the dark pews and up to the ceiling. That is what I have done in the past. I used a Mecablitz 45CT1
