Although I've not made a "studied" series at this particular location, I shoot at it often. So at different times of each year I return to this spot and shoot my present impressions.
I've just done a search of your gallery to look at the other High Valley road shots. For what it is worth they all look better in colour IMHO except the snow scene which is great in B&W.
Given the subject matter, no surprise I suppose, except that I didn't even expect the snow scene to be better in B&W. OK I can't compare it to the same snow scene in colour but I'd be surprised if the colour would have "more bite".
Simple landscape but has all the ingredients to make a nice picture.
George, I like this composition and treatment of the scene. Simple yet captivating with the road and fence post. One suggestion might be a good heavy tripod, and stopping down enough to bring that post into sharp focus. With the film speed you have there, the only way to firm up the post would be to stop down to a shutter speed too slow to hold by hand. The color balance is very nice with this film and filter combination. Nice to see some green! Best, tim
