Great detail and texture in everything from roofs to white walls. Reminds me of the song my father used to sing. He was brought up in the 1920's in Tomach in Invernesshire in a house very similar to these. One of the lines was "when heather bells are ringing round grannie's hielan hame". Only the comparatively well off can afford to be sentimental about what can be a hard and remote existence which you've captured well.
 
has a little Fred Picker look to it. Love it I think it was worth waiting for.
