HIE, lith, Mower

I broke my right wrist this summer, which has cramped my style a bit. Dusted off my Nikon, and dug one of my last precious rolls of HIE out of the freezer. Headed to the poorly attended, gusty, showery first day of the fair.
Printed (left hand only, right in plastic bag to protect cast) on Oriental Warmtone, Arista Lith. Interestingly, these prints were raspberry coloured when they went into the fix, peachy when they came out of the fix. I had planned to tone them, but the colour changed again in the wash.
This one is my husband's favorite.

All of these are interesting, but for me this is the one. I'll bet the print looks great. Nice work!

Dramatic, and you give away just enough for someone to know what this is (or might be). Good for you for keeping on with the printing, in spite of your injury. Hard to keep a good worker down...

Thanks Thomas and James. I liked the ominous storm clouds rolling in behind those big sharp teeth. There have been so many things interfering with my time for photography these last couple of years.....the broken wrist seems trifling.

This is superb. I've been staring at it for a few minutes. I've seen so many things... I see the skeletal remains of a prehistoric beast. There's a spine, a head, two eyes and a beak, like an ancient totem pole. The ominous sky... the bent steering wheel, marking the passage of time... the bit of fence, hinting at confinement. All of that, and your chosen treatment, created an image that resonates with me. You've made my day. Thank you.
