The previous print had better balance. I actually like the very light feel of the light coming in from the right, but I would burn in the left side a bit. I think I would crop the baby's foot, or keep all of it, if it's in the frame. I would also burn in the top some, to focus on the subject matter better. This print just seems a little bit flat compared to the other one and needs some darkroom attention to create some depth.
It is a nice expression on both of them!
Edi, do you do contact prints of each roll at exactly the same enlarger height and exposure?
If you do this, then you will start to see a difference in real terms with each roll and indeed, each frame.
I contact print each roll of film at the same enlarger height, same aperture, same paper grade and the same exposure time.
When I view a contact sheet I can tell immediately if a negative is in the bulls eye regarding exposure and development. You can see other things at a glance as well, contrast, grain or lack of.
I get the impression that these two pictures were taken on different days, or at least different time on the same day. The light seems quite different for each frame as shown, maybe it's the way you moved the subject as the shoot or day progressed, maybe the sun was behind clouds.
I know this isn't really answering your question, but a little more information about the shooting may help us to give you some more constructive comments.
