damn, i love this photo.. i'll be sitting in front of it for many hours daydreaming about the stories of the ghosts of the image left behind.

it really makes me think of a comment by the film-maker chris marker ("la jetee")... he has said that the reason behind his decisions to make films in either black and white or color lies in his belief that we all dream in black and white - maybe why images such as this become so loaded and profound.

I dream in color. I photograph in black and white. That choice provides me with slightly more control over my photographs than my dreams. I apologize for contradicting Mr. Marker and I thank you for your kindness.
