I understand George as they are indeed everywhere in Greece, including the most phototegenic of places so one has to atleast learn to work with them if not take a
wire cutter and "liberate" them.
In this case, the choice of putting them in diagonals in the corners follows the general diagonal that starts with the placement of the church and ends with the open sky at the top right.
I am not sure of your choice of film and the church could use a bit of burning at the corner. I like the darkness of the bell tower.
