This is a very interesting image, is it possible to get it a bit larger for better viewing? The 8x negative must be fantastic to print with all those wonderful tones.
I believe the compression of the smaller size has robbed us of a lot of information that I'll bet is in your print.

Hey guys......I'm sorry for the lousey scans of these fine prints.....My scanner is not cooperating with me, and the computer hardware is not a priority for me......film, paper and chemistry are!
