Hawes Churchyard

Taken a year or so back but only now printed up, on 14X11 Ilford Warmtone FB paper. I printed a border on this to try and stop the eye drifting out of the top of the image but the image area just about fits on my flatbed scanner and so the border is not complete all around the image but is there on the print. Difficult to control the exposure but I am reasonably pleased with the final result on paper even if the scan doesn't do it full justice.

Any thoughts?

It is very well composed,it is simple and there is nothing to critisize.

Graham it is well composed except for the man's face catching the viewer's attention. I would have preferred if he was looking in the direction that he was going. But the footpath and graveyard are terrific. A good use of your 20 mm lens. I hope you took more shots there or you can visit it again.

Cheers

I myself don't mind the man's direct gaze; normally I don't like that sort of thing but here it gives a nice anchor to the overall image.

An image which is well balanced -- it takes expertise to use a wide angle lens well, which you obviously have.
