Havana, Cuba - Photographers

Came across some 4x5 negs I made during a trip to Cuba way back in 2008.
These guys are amazing, such a neat process; this is the one frame I managed to get that conveyed their character (and they ARE characters...)

Wonderful, Colin!

what a treat. great shots. love to see how these street photographers do it.

Their cameras are like their cars - jury rigged together from whatever they can get hold of.
Very similar to the street photographers in Kabul - they make a paper negative then a positive from that...it's a really neat process but a lot of work.

I still have mine, on the steps of the Capitolio

I do love that camera, looks vert lived in, and the tripod looks like Riess that has been under the sea for a few years.
