Original slide taken by my Father in 1958 just before harvesting our wheat crop. I was quite taken by the colorful dress my mother was wearing. This was typical for the women to dress gaily as a form of celebrating the harvest. Probably had something to do with keeping the moral of the men going who were doing the heavy work. Of course the ladies worked hard too keeping everyone fed, watered, and driving truckloads of grain to the elevators.
