Harper Quinn Mullet at age five minutes. She was born 12:58pm (UCT-0600) on 12 December, 7lbs 14oz, 20 3/4 inches long.
She was born via C-section, and as soon as the initial check was done, baby and I were whisked from the operating room to the nursery while they finished putting Dianna back together. Cesarean took about 15-20 minutes, but waiting with Harper in the nursery to get word on how Dianna was doing was the longest hour of my life.
Mama & baby doing just great.
While waiting, I did manage to take 2-3 rolls of Harper's first hour in the world. Her ears were filled with the sound of a Canon F-1 shutter release. Can't have her analog indoctrination too early, I say.
I'd like to claim that I planned to place my self portrait in the reflection in her eye, along with the details of the nursery, but I only noticed it after I did the scan.
I'm having good luck with shooting tri-x at EI 400, then when I get to part B of Diafine development, just letting the film rest without any agitation other than a couple of raps to dislodge bubbles for the first minute. I think that's giving me a wee bit better edge contrast.
