Harper Church

I spent last friday with David Brown and Mike Castles (photomc) exploring some churches in Mason County, TX. This is one of the two negatives I shot that day.

Always appreciate peoples thoughts/comments/critiques.

Matt, as usual, this is delicious. What makes it, IMO, is the emphasis on the lines of the roof and lines of the siding. The shadow is well used as it adds some drama.

Very, very nice Matt. The diagonal splitting of the image into an almost night and day combination is very haunting to me. An angular ying and yang. Looks like a tasty print as well.

That's a beaut Matt. Really striking.

thank you all for the comments.
Interestingly enough this is one of the shortest printing times Ive ever had for a pt/pd print. Printed almost perfectly right at 4mins. my usual times are in the 8-12min range.

the diagonal is what drew me in... I remember seeing the rectangular symmetry being broken up by the long morning shadows.

nice to hear this was conveyed visually.

Lovely. Simple and elegant composition. I continue to be in awe of people using such large cameras, but I bet the print is something beautiful to behold.

All the best,
Daniel

Matt, I have only few words: outstanding. Love everything about it. Strong composition, but the best part is the light. This truly radiates.
