So evocative of that furniture. Simple construction and probably pushing 100 years old. My sister just had to send something like this to a charity shop - every one else wanted her to pay them to take it to the dump it.

'Something I love in an image - the ordinary subject done with such clarity. 'Can almost smell the wood, feel the weathered grain, ridges of the latch casting worn smooth from use. Its a vein of still-life I don't tire of.
