Half painted demo

A few years ago, I half painted one for a demo. I wanted to show how the coloring compared to the original BW.
Hey, and very effective it is too, colour is spot on. Are you using oils? I had a set of Marshalls' oils given to me a few years back but haven't tried it yet, afraid I'll make a hash of it!

Tony- It's mostly oils. The thinner green lines are pencil, which are easier to control.
Every person I know (that hand colors) has a different technique. It's worth experimenting with. If you print on matte papers, save your rejects to experiment with. The learning curve isn't too long, to become competent.

I haven't tried art classic. You have to be careful of overly textured papers. They tend to grab the paint, so you can't apply them evenly.
