Half Dome

Hasselblad shot with APX 100
Excellent shot -- you've captured something unique in a location that's been photographed so often by so many that getting anything close to unique is a challenge. Good job.

This picture is not backwards. It was taken from the opposite side of the dome, probably from the vicinity of Olmstead Point or elsewhere along Highway 120. The Valley is actually to the right of the dome from this viewpoint, which is almost 180 degrees away from the angle that most photos of Half Dome are taken from. I want to shoot Half Dome from Olmstead Point, but it is too late to do so this year. It just rained like hell in the SF Bay Area today, so I'm sure a lot of snow got dumped on the Tioga Road, causing a winter closure.

The pass just closed 2 days ago and now with all the rain and snow it is shutdown for the season. I saw this print in person and it looks very nice!
