You are permitted to, but I didn't. This is handheld. I absolutely hate tripods, especially on vacation. I can generally handhold down to 1/2 second without issues so I depend on that skill when I have to.

PBS program Nova just last week included details on the construction, especially its resistance to earthquakes which has held through the years.

I agree with all the above....lost in the details, marvelous light. Last time I was there in 1972, stationed in Turkey for a year.
