Hackley House #1

From a recent (long) road trip and a week visiting my birthtown. I had visited the Hackley house for the first time about three years ago. I found a contractors materials list on display, and was surprised to see my great grandfathers name as the general contractor when they built the wonderful Victorian mansion in the 1890's. It is said the patron and local benefactor, Mr. Hackley, loved Victorian style, though at that time it was 30 yrs. behind the times. On this recent visit, I had mentioned my great grandfather connection and asked permission to shoot inside. They were gracious enough to allow me access prior to opening. I was late, had 45 minutes and one roll of 120 and a guide following me the whole time. But I'm happy with the short series (7 images) none the less. From a workprint session.

Thanks Dave...I would have loved to use 4x5, but with an overly talkative guide waiting by your side, it would have been a nightmare. I actually made a point to develop minus one stop for a change...seems to have worked (this time).

Now to print the final versions...
