Really nice idea. Me, I would crop a little on the bottom, but I see what yer getting at here. Like it much.

I like it. My thought is that the bottom and the top frame the center of the frame where you eye goes to so I believe it works good. If I would crop It would be a hair or two but not more.

Interesting subject, well exposed and printed. I would crop ruthlessly from the top taking out all of the picture down to second row of pipe. Then crop from the bottom up to the pipe. This would leave a horozontal format pattern made up of pipe. As it is, I think you need the square format.
