A lith print on Foma 532 Nature. A very nice paper with a texture that lends itself to lithing. I am just trying to decide whether to do all future lith prints on this paper or just selected ones.
Great image, like it a lot Dan. I've never tried the '532' paper, but from the looks of it, it is great paper. I use '131' emulsion because it does both lith AND regular dev very well. and it simplifies things from a supply pespective. THis should be no different in that regard, but not sure if you're trying to standardize for a specific reason? There are other great lith capable papers, but I do think Foma is the most consistent in all regards
Nice shot. I bet the texture of the paper lends itself well to the rusty look. How do you compare the finish to standard foma MG? I'm quickly coming to the end of my box of that and am looking to get either a box of this or trying foma MG in matt instead of glossy. This stuff is a hell of alot more pricey than the standard paper though *gulp*
thank you everyone. For Andrew and Wolfgang, yes, as I understand it, the emulsion is the same on all of the Foma MG papers, only the paper base itself is different. For Jarvman, I was very surprised when I opened the box of Nature. It is about as far from Foma MG classic as possible. Whereas the MG Classic has a very smooth, gloss finish, the Nature is very textured and has no gloss or sheen to it at all. At first I did not think I would like the results, but it is growing on me.
I think that during my next lith printing session I will make prints from the same negative on Classic and Nature for comparison purposes.
