I never get sick of dune photos and this one is very well composed. Also love the luminosity in the centre of the foreground dune. The printing workshop obviously has been of benefit.

Thanks for the nice comments. Shawn, this is the first time I've used the Galerie. Per just took some out and said lets try this. The actual print has wonderful tones. I am going to try some as I love the look of the print. This was developed in PF-130 by the way. I forgot to put that in.
Wonderful arrangement of shapes and tones. Would love to see the actual print- the rendition of highlights on computer monitors is so often harsh and detail-less.
Thanks everyone. The print is fantastic. Per asked if it would be ok if we cropped this image a little. I think it makes a stronger statement. Although I do like the 11x14 on my wall that has the whole image.
I went to the Guadalupe Dunes about 5 years ago. The Park Service doesn't make it easy to find. We hiked in right late afternoon, took a handful of pictures then hiked back to the vehicle in the dark. A very memorable experience. THe only decent picture I got was a 4x5 slide that I've yet to have printed.
Bruce, I am fortunate to live about an hour and a half from this location. After several unproductive trips on the dunes with all formats up to 8x10 I was able to get some great 4x5 shots. I will post some more when I can. I intend on taking the 8x20 out now that I know exactly which way to go out of the parking lot.
