This image was captured earlier this week in the smoky mountain national forrest on a return trip home from a trip farther north. It wasn't well planned but I was glad I made the side trip. I would love to plan a trip back to work the area more extensively.
john nice shot. god to see oyu getting out away from florida and shooting.
hay check out the Florida forum. I'm trying to get aget to gether with the Florida Apuggers sometime this fall. Iwill be tring to find a good meeting place and location ot shoot.
Hi Mike, Keep me posted on your Florida get together, it sounds like fun! I'm heading to the blue ridge mountains in a few weeks, that will be a nice switch from florida too.
I'm sure you and the Schneider people are going appreciate that I think it has a pinhole feel to it, probably because the of the width of the lens and length of exposure
This is a beautiful shot and I can see why you would want to go back there. Would you consider cropping out thr hi-light in the foreground, its presence to my eye makes it difficult to get into the picture.
Thanks Vic and Tex. Tex I hate using really wide lenses and then cropping but I can't disagree with you about that area being distracting, the more I look at it the more it bugs me too. There are also some color cast issues going on in that area as well as the falls, way too much blue. Maybe when I get around to fixing the cast I will try to burn that area in or crop.
