It does have a great look to this lens Can you shed some light on the diffusion adjustment. Does it work well?

Thanks Mark. Andrew-- I've still got some work to do to figure out the diffusion control. The quality of the lens is really great, but the benefits of the diffusion control aren't entirely clear. The control moves the front air spaced element of the rear group forward and can be used two ways--1) focus and then add diffusion or 2)add diffusion and then focus. Looking at the ground glass if I focus first and then dial in diffusion, it looks a lot like defocusing with the bokeh quality of objects in front of the plane of focus. It looks like moving the plane of focus behind the subjects. If I use the diffusion control first and then focus--it looks like everything is focused normally. But that's just on the ground glass, so I need to run some film tests--more than the small number of sheets I've managed to shoot.
