a couple of modern markers for graves in the Freedmens and Contrabands Cemetery in Alexandria, Virginia. This cemetery was established in 1865, and then "lost" until the late 1990s. A gas station, office building, and industrial facility had been built on top of it. It is once again a sacred space.
