It's a very appealing shot and I think it works fine, although I can just see myself agonising over how low down to get against how much of the lake to get in! Maybe there are variants?

I really like this shot. The layers of texture work well in lots of different ways and I find myself flipping back and forth between the vertical lines and the horizontal lines. I'd love to see it in a large print.
