Grass-waterdrops--nature

Grass-waterdrops--nature

I spent a very wet morning out walking earlier this summer. The weather provided all the necessary ingredients for this image.

ya, know, i love grass..i mean the real kind ..i love all it's growing phases, how it blows in the wind, how it dries up, how it ressurects itself the following season, and the many different types...this is simple and perfect, almost an abstraction of the subject full of line and shape and texture. Nicely done. i'm not much on PS shadow boxes and stuff though, it gilds the lily, er, in this case, the grass. kat~

Nicely done, the crystaline quality of the water drops creates the impression of glass pearls adorning the leaves. Quite striking, linear leaves and corpuscular crystal pearls impailed on the fine surface hairs. The assortment of drop sizes is astonishing, almost none combining into larger drops. This is a difficult shot in 4X5 because near macro shots require great care and depth of field. It compels action in the viewer, perhaps an ancient message to eat? Very well done!

Beautiful. When I saw this I knew it must be Velvia to capture those greens.

So very true only "Velvia" in the right hands. You just got my screen wet with this one and the abstract nature adds to it's beauty!
