Looks like moiré from all the the corrugated metal. A negative scan on a flatbed perhaps? You can flip it, rescan, and flip the image back.
 
I have photographed many a grain bin with film and never got moire. I've also scanned those negs and didn't get any moire. I've only ever noticed it when using a digital camera that doesn't have a moire filter. Sounds like it should be a song, It's Amoire
 
I first noticed the composition - sweet. Next, on my monitor, the toning appears not to have taken on the silo that shows the moire/artifact - no brown/gold tone or alot less. Whatever else is going on - its a dang good take on the elevator.
