Gradus Ad Parnassum / Black Sun

Scene from today's trek with Richard Pippin to Yogaville, on 4x5 Fuji FP100C instant film. I wasn't initially expecting the sun to solarize, but... there it is and I suppose it contributes to the mystery of what's over the horizon, so I went with it.

Bit of forward tilt applied with the Schn. 90/8 SA to ensure detail in the footprints.

Also shot it on 5x7 provia, I'll see what happened next week.

Nice shot Keith, I like this a lot, especially the black sun and weird building over the horizon.

Hey Rhys! Thanks. The weird building is the "Lord Siva Nataraja Shrine" which is on a hill overlooking the main shrine at Yogaville. The footprints (people, deer, turkeys, bears? a bit of everything it seemed) interested me more than the building itself, so I stopped part of the way up and left the view obscured. It's not for everybody.. but then, neither is Yogaville
