Streams like this one are abundant throughout Hatcher Pass and are sites for several active gold prospector claims, as well as public for recreational panning.
I took quite a lot of photos of waterfalls and rivers on a recent trip to the Alps. I'm in two minds about blurred water from slow exposure. Sometimes it produces a better picture, that conveys movement better, and sometimes it just blurs detail into a white mess when that detail might have been interesting. I think it depends on the particular subject. It has worked nicely in your photo. If it had been possible to have the camera lower to the water looking upstream it might have had slightly more drama.
