Nice capture. Until last year, lived my whole life there. I have a lot of memories from that stadium. Watched Karl Wallenda walk across it, Lou Brock breaking Maury Wills base stealing record. I kinda hated to see it come down, but I guess that's progress, huh?
I felt exactly the same way when they they demolished the ivy covered walls of the old stadium to build this one. BTW the photo is excellent in all categories. The saddness of progress erasing the past and making way for the future is hard to take at times.
There are few good vantage points in the area which are publicly accessible. This one was made from the top of Stadium Garage East just across the street from the stadium.
Really great photo in every way ... Now the politics... They've done quite a job on Busch Stadium (old one) in 3 weeks.... I am from St Louis too and of course a Cardinals fan. I know Busch Stadium (new one) will be great but there was nothing wrong with Busch Stadium (old one), except $$$$ for some people.
