Excellent.

I must go back to Arran one day. I went in October a few years ago expecting rain but had three really nice autumn days.

Beautifully done! Great contrast and impact overall.

Awesome! Arran is one of my favourite places too. Family holidays there for about 40 years. I've never been up there when it was this clear, though. I really like the high contrast. it really brings out the shine in the rock.

Thanks

Rob

Thanks everyone. It was late in the day - i hit the summit at 6:30 in the evening, the light was fantastic - but i think i may have a hard time printing some of the the shots, lots of deep shadows!

This was the only clear day for the whole week, i didn't want to waste it so i climbed the nearest big mountain, Meall nan Damh in the north-west of the island, as soon as i got up. There was no path so it turned out to be seriously hard work, but i didn't see another person all morning, just a few red stags and a hawk. I think i got a couple of good shots.

By late lunch the sun was out and it looked set to stay that way, i thought this would be my only chance to get up Goat Fell, and i was right. It was a long day, but worth it.
