Glowing Merced

This is my first post of an image. This is the Merced river in Yosemite on October 15, 2005. I used my Seneca 8x10, FP4+, Wollry 12" F-45, 19 seconds and a #12 filter. This is a grade 2 Azo contact print. The neg. was developed by inspection in Pyrocat HD. 16 minutes development @ 70 degrees. I hope you enjoy it.

wouldn't a number #12 filter be deep red? I was surprised at the light tones of the ferns.
I would have though a #12 would makes these dark, since red filters usually darken green. Of course, w/ infra red film, I would expect the light tones...

Jeff, thanks for the comment and your interest. Yes the #12 is a yellow filter. I wanted to bring out the foliage on the bank across the river. I do need to burn it down a bit in the final print to hold the tones I want.
