Gloucester Road Underground Station

Well done...the ambience was captured perfectly! The lighting on the leaves at the upper right was very, very well exposed. The angle of the camera was ideal for the diverging diagnoals of the road and the front of the station. The strong verticals of the cans and lamp-post on the right were carried through to the columns at the station, the men at the center, and the phone booth at the mid right. The photo would be well compared to the composition(s) of some of the classical paintings that all of us have seen.

A well thought out, and very well executed photograph. Take a deserved bow!

Very nice! Seemingly infinite DOF from the curb and the leaves back to the clouds in the sky. Almost better than being there.

I've just did an edit and replaced the image, the first was way to dark compared to the print. I scanned the original with an Epson 750 and Vuescan and wasn't pleased with it, so I rescanned it flat ( 00 100 255)with Epsonscan and it looks much closer to the original.

Funny. I think I liked the original scan better... More mystery and starker, which worked for the subject matter. Good photograph either way!
