Glencoe Dusk

Am having a rummage through old work and having a weekend scan-a-thon. Found this and thought it was worth a go. Was an experiment I'm still undecided on.

Great picture. It could hang on my wall for years.

Thanks for comments.

This picture has been swirling around in my head for a while now (along with the usual stew of jazz, coffee and what I'm having for dinner tonight, but I digress...!). I now have the germ of an idea for a series I'm going to pursue over the next few months.

Cheers,
Gavin

PS - Has anyone read 'Under the Skin' by Michel Faber? This picture always reminds me of that book. Without giving anything of the plot away, I'm sure folks who have read it will know what I mean...!

The more I look at this picture the more I like it. (It's very rare that I feel compelled to leave two comments!)

For me the large dark areas are really important, because coupled with the two arrows I feel I have a clear decision to make: do I go backwards into darkness or forwards into uncertainty (the one arrow doesn't point at the sunrise, merely near to it). What's interesting is that I think the decision could go either way...
