Original glass plate negatives taken by my grandfather in the late 1920s or early 1930s. Contact prints by me.

Zeiss Ikon Trona 212
Paper & Developer
Slavich Unibrom, pre-flashed, ID-3 soft developer
Just wonderful! Very sharp, great tones. Everyone looks like they're 28 years old, but I bet they're really 20. Young people looked older then, I think!

From left to right: Marjorie Hulbert (my great-aunt), Leslie Hulbert (my great-uncle, married to Marjorie, although possibly not at the time of this picture), unknown, looks like my grandfather's girlfriend at the time, but this is probably ten years before he met my grandmother, Ronald Hulbert (my grandfather).

Ronald was born in 1899, and Leslie was his younger brother, so they would have been at least mid-late 20's.

They must have found a steady-handed person to operate the camera!
