Sweet little thing, photographed on a bed during a workshop.

There's a bit more on the left that doesn't show in this scan.

Engaging and delightful image. I hope she got all the itsy gremlins out between her toes after you'd finished distracting her!!

Another winner Cheryl. Does DDX give you the rich texture of blacks and whites as seen in your prints? I am thinking of changing developer but at the moment a bit confused on what sort of finish I am after. Looking at this shot, ddx looks great but am I barking up the wrong tree?

Thanks, all. This kiddo was quite the little imp.

North, DDX yields a fair amount of grain but with better acutance than Tmax, which I was previously using. But rather than looking just at the developer, look at the film / developer / exposure combination, as well as the quality of the light. There are so many other variables -- the paper and paper dev, temperatures, etc, etc -- that it's sort of hard to say which part of the process yields which results. This scan is just from a proof print -- it'll get much richer when printed on fiber and toned.

Thanks for getting back. There is also the small point of actually taking the picture, which I believe there is an art. The reason for the change of developer is because supplies have been halted and not a lot of camera shops stock them (not a lot of camera shops stock anything to do with black and White, DIGITAL). I was just trying to get an idea. Close to producing one for the board so look out for it!
