My kids found this leaf. I took a picture of it on the table.

Thanks. I didn't think they grew here but my kids found the leaf so I'm a bit perplexed. I shall have to carefully walk the route to school with an eye out for it.
 
They have planted these trees all over Saint Paul, Minnesota. They are hardy trees that easily survives the winter here.

They are gorgeous trees, for sure.
 
The maidenhair tree is the sole survivor of a family of trees that flourished millions of years ago. The name Ginkgo is probably derived from a Chinese word for "silver fruit". They're pretty trees, but can get stinky in the fall when their sees burst.
