Giant's Cuaseway

Giant’s Causeway – a World Heritage site with all too inclusive access! This was early morning mid week – what it’s like on a Bank Holiday I shudder to think.

Magical place or so everyone I know who has been there, says. Some Bank Holidays might be fine such as Xmas Day or very early on New Year's Day. At 8:00 am on that day any self respecting Celt has only been in bed for about an hour!

Well his Scots cousins have.

Fantastic place - best enjoyed around 6am or after a visit to the nearby Bushmills distillery! One of the girls in the visitors centre told me that only about 40% of visitors actually visit the causeway itself - the rest don't get beyond the centre!

Thanks

Rob

Thanks for the comments guys. Actually we did go back there after a meal in Bushmills at about 8.30 one evening. Still dozens of people around - mainly couples hanging around for a nice sunset. Actually spoke to the bus driver in the picture and he said that on some days it seems like there's one basalt column for every visitor. Now that I wish I had been around to record!

Cheers, Graham
