Reading Anthracite Company St. Nicholas Breaker, world's largest, idled in the 1960s, found west of Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania on PA 54.
While not as visually interesting as the grimy old wooden ones, i thought this view with the dark missing window panes conveys a "nice sense of deterioration."
This was a minor diversion during one of my rare printing sessions yesterday.
And seeing it against this white background, my scan is a bit off -- in the print the sky is lighter and warmer, though the building looks close -- oh well!
