Gerbera #1

Just started a new series of flower images for my next publication, experimenting with white backgrounds instead of black, and natural daylight instead of studio flash. Am finding that I have a huge tonal range to play with in the former method! This was taken at 6 oclock in the morning just when the sun risen. I do like the light at that time of the morning. Am sure there is a better crop in there somewhere or a rotation but have not found it yet!

Nice tones. Do you find Delta 400 more satisfactory for what you want to do than 100 and in what way ?

Thank you all for your comments, Roy i have only recently started using Delta having heard rave reviews from my friends. I really should be using 100 for still life images, but thought i would neeed the 400 this weekend because i was shooting using natural daylight. I have only used delta 100 on a few ocassions but have been pleased with the results, however having only used them a few times i cant really comment on the differances between the two.

The crispness of this image almost makes it look like it was highly manipulated. Very interesting image. Thanks.
