Gaustatoppen

21 August 2012: Gaustatoppen (1883m), a peak in the South of Norway, seen from Hardangervidda; in the foreground is a nameless (to me at least) small lake at 1161m.

My first four prints on Fomatone 131, all of this same negative, but toned differently: untoned, toned in selenium 1+4 15min, selenium 1+10 3min, Viradon New 1+24 4min.

This one is in selenium 1+4 15min.

Thanks rorye. I am trying to get an idea of what this paper (Fomatone 131) is capable of. First impressions are that it tones strongly & quickly, and that it has a nice sheen to it when dried to air at room temperature, a bit nicer perhaps than Adox MCC 110 and Kentmere FB glossy. It's great to have all this choice of paper and film, still. I'm trying to push myself not to let the moment pass and try lots of different materials while still can.
