Gate

Like the sky as well however I find the gate a bit distracting!

I guess I liked the imagery of a blocked road, looking down a road where you can't go.

I agree that the gate is distracting and feel that it does not appear easily recognisable as a barrier.

The sky is a good'un....perhaps you could have used the road/pylon line trailing off into the distance to draw the eye twds infinity and therefore the thuderstorm? Removal of the gate and not having the area of shadow on the right might have allowed you to print some more drama into the sky...perhaps using the horizontal format to keep the sky proportioantely more dominant.

Just thoughts!
