Full title is:

沧桑多少年,风雨何日休。 After a history in tear and blood, will it ever be able to live up to its name, the Gate of Heavenly Peace (Tiananmen)?
 
That guy spooks me. And yes, the horse-sh*t name is no more. Gate of a bloody repression of an expression of freedom might be better
 
It was coincidence that he turned around and wore big aviator/cop sunglasses. In my (limited) experience it's the plainclothes stealth cops that are more worrisome. Although foreigners (at least ones not waving placards) are left alone, it seems...it's Chinese who should be more nervous about the massive security apparatus there.
In any case, Tiananmen Square is easily one of the most notable places in the world for people watching.
 
The security in the foreground is a poignant touch for a photo of Tiananmen, adds a little menace. You would have been very conspicuous with a Widelux!
