pt/pd print taken this summer --i liked the shingles curled from the unrelenting summer sun and cold winters of the high plateau ..... i'm thinking now i should have moved in and just done the window+wall+top of the bike ..... oh well
i like this shot , moving in you would lose the sun coming thru the roof boards, that adds alot i think. btw i just looked over your portfolio and its very good. you have a really good eye. the only one thing i might suggest to you would be to try a red filter, it would make the clouds pop a little more. keep posting , i look forward to seeing your excellent work.............frank
hey, thanks for your critique and kind comments and suggestion ..... i used to use the red filter a lot more for landscapes than i do now, esp. in desert areas like this, but i gradually moved to the deep yellow because the red filtered sky values were so dark, and sometimes were hard to get smooth in pt/pd .... this one had no filter, as i was afraid the yellow would really make the dead grasses scream--but the red may have been a good choice, and kept the distant clouds from hiding along the horizon
