Garden Flowers

Summer is flowers. All kinds, all colors, everywhere. As soon as the ground softens, I am digging, planting, feeding, watering. When the first yellow daffodil emerges from its long nap, my Nikon and i are ready to record its awakening. Throughout the summer, I snap away, crazy lady on the hill.Coneflowers, Hibiscus, Bee Balm, Black Eyed Susans, all pose before my lens. Then, one cold, dreary winter night, I make myself a cup of hot cocoa, enhanced by a generous dollop of peppermint schnapps. I sit by my (fake) fireplace and carefully tape all my flower shots to a posterboard, to enjoy until spring returns...
Wonderful story. Some wild saturation in the colors here. (Portra UC?). I think your idea is brilliant. I think I'll copy it. Gardening is one of my passions alongside photography. Thanks for sharing.
