Garden Chair

Playing with a quite wild little single uncorrected meniscus on a 5X7 camera. It focuses about 100mm and wildly distorts things as you move in close.

A wonderful image with the the distortion really adding to the quality of the image. Not implying anything about you but it proves the most important component of a camera is the nut behind the lens.

A print would be gorgeous.

Jim ~ Thank you for another lovely reminder that "lens quality" comes in many flavors. "Maximum resolution and contrast/minimum distortion and flare" may be the vanilla of lens flavors; the most popular, perhaps, but somehow boring after a while...

I'm curious about that diagonal streak. Is it a ray of light, or a thin, white out-of-focus rope?

Beautiful result. I don't like the ray going so alone, but also it gives special feeling to this photo, must come back later ...
