gage park IR

gage park IR

a classic IR application. New grass overseeded in foreground. I was with a photo group the previous week and someone was giving a tutorial of how to photoshop to give an IR look. I went out with one of my last few sheets of 4x5 HIE. I came back to the next meeting with this print to show that there are some things that photoshop can't do.

Mike I'm afraid this is not a great example of IR and do check out IR work produced digitally. You will be surprised.

the IR from digital, with an extended sensor range as found in some early digital cameras, or in one with the hot filter removed can certianly give good IR sensing. The group I was trying to debunk was photoshopping a generic current SLR captured image, without any hot mirror mods. It would have never been able to differentiate between the old grass, and the fresh oversseding that had just sprouted in the foreground.
