Fx4 is an odd formula, on the one hand it is supposed to be high acutance with increased film speed but 100g sodium sulfite dissolves a lot of silver, which seems to oppose that point. I think the images seem to show this conundrum. This may be more of an issue with higher speed films perhaps. I would knock back exposure and/or dev time and see how it looks.
YES -- thanks for Comment-- I think it is the 1961 Formula I used with more Phenidone and less Hydroquinone ( which is the 'Contrast' developing agent). Next 'Mix' I will try the later version ! ( Keeps me BUSY and mind off Hospital Appointments ! )
