Yes, even wide open the 'square' squares well with image quality. And, if you had stopped down to f22, the sharpness would be so stunning that you could be accused of bleeding someone to death. I have NEVER experienced a lessening of sharpness due to so-called refraction with the Minolta Autocord CDS.

This is a clear-cut case of where, how, why Japan elbowed Germany out of the camera business. - David Lyga
 
I have offered to go to the house of the Gent who gave it to me and take some 'Hopefully Good' photos of him and his Wife to give to their Daughter and Grand-Children - awaiting a reply .
