Fulgora Candelaria, is another species of lantern Fly. The huge "candle," or lantern, where we expect to see, maybe a nose, is a mystery. It is hollow and it's function unknown.
I'd like that you use the word "lovely." The light is pretty much, the ambient light in the room. It was partial LED lights from above, and partial window light that varied during the day. I brought foam core reflectors, and what other LED light that has a switch for varying the color temperature. The color of these creatures, for the most part, I think, are changed due to time, and that little fact that they're dead. Although I've been photographing some of the butterfly collection, and they have kept their colors amazingly well, and they are sill beautiful. Glad you liked it.
